Fujian will invest 730 billion yuan（$112 billion）in 1,355 key provincial infrastructure facility projects in 2016.

The province will continue to reinforce construction of infrastructure facilities with focus on transportation, energy sources, water conservancy, municipal administration, information technology and environmental protection.

The 1,355 key projects include 1,029 under construction with a planned investment of 370 billion yuan and 326 under preparation. A total of 150 projects including Fuzhou Metro Line 1, Ningde nuclear power unit 4 and Fuqing nuclear power unit 3 will be finished in 2016, while another 150, including Pumei (Pucheng-Meizhou) Railway, Fuzhou-Xiamen Railway Passenger-dedicated Line and Xiamen Metro Line 4, will break ground this year. The preparation of projects such as Xiamen Xiang'an Airport, the second phase of the Fuzhou Changle Airport and the Zhangzhou Nuclear power plant are expected to go smoothly.

Meanwhile, 35 billion yuan will be allocated to boost the construction of major water conservancy projects such as reservoirs, flood control and water diversion. Transportation projects including an inner city rail transit system and sightseeing tour routes are also under planning.
